[edit]Borrowed from Bulgarian Логин (Login), from Ancient Greek Λογγίνος (Longínos), the name given to the Roman soldier who pierced the side of Jesus with a lance while he was on the cross, and then converted to Christianity. Cognate with Latin Longinus.
