Locrian mode

  1. (music) A mode whose scale is the same as a natural minor scale except with the second and fifth scale degrees lowered by one half step each, yielding the interval pattern (semitone - tone - tone - semitone - tone - tone - tone).
    Starting on the note C, a Locrian mode produces a scale with the notes C, D♭, E♭, F, G♭, A♭, B♭, C
