Possibly transferred from other places, where names like Kattilasaari (for an island) might have been derived from kattila in reference to their shape,[1] or from Russianкотел(kotel, “hollow”, literally “cauldron”), because the village sits on a limestone clint next to a depression in the ground.[2]
