Karnibale
Appearance
German
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Unstressed -a- and -ar- are not distinguished in many German accents. Probably reinforced by mistaken association with Latin carnis (“flesh, meat”) as in German Karnivore or Inkarnation.
Noun
[edit]Karnibale m (weak, genitive Karnibalen, plural Karnibalen)
- Misspelling of Kannibale (“cannibal”).
