Etymology

[edit]

From German Kant (surname of Prussian philosopher Immanuel Kant) +‎ -iaeth.

Pronunciation

[edit]

Noun

[edit]

Kantiaeth f (uncountable, not mutable)

  1. (philosophy) Kantianism

Usage notes

[edit]
  • Being derived from a proper name, Kantiaeth does not have its spelling adapted to typical Welsh orthographic conventions, which do not use the letter k. See also Zwinglïaeth (Zwinglianism).
  • Like many other unnaturalised nouns recently derived from other languages, Kantiaeth does not undergo initial mutation.
