Borrowed from Hebrew יֵהוּא (yehu). Attested to in Akkadian as 𒅀𒌑𒀀 𒈥 𒄷𒌝𒊑𒄿 (Iaúa mar Chumrii, literally “Jehu of the people of the land of Omri”).
