- (obsolete) A taxonomic class within the kingdom Plantae – a polyphyletic taxon comprising all icosandrous plants (those having twenty or more stamens in each perigynous flower).
Usage notes
[edit]This taxon was erected by Carl Linnaeus as an aid in classification, but was not intended to represent a natural grouping.
