[edit]Borrowed from Hungarian Komjátszeg, from Komját + szeg (“part”), from Slavic, perhaps from a word cognate with Czech komnata (“chamber”). Compare Slovak Komjatná, Slovak Komjatice, Hungarian Komjáti.
