Gothic a-stem nouns.

These nouns are masculine or neuter, typically with the following endings:

  • in the nominative singular: -s when masculine, the bare stem when neuter;
  • in the genitive singular: -is;
  • in the nominative plural: -ลs when masculine, -a when neuter.

The stem classes are named from the perspective of Proto-Germanic and may not still be visible in Gothic inflections.
