Arabic form-VI verbs where the prefix assumes a modified form and partly assimilates to the initial root consonant. These verbs have the form افَّاعَلَ instead of normal تفَاعَلَ, e.g. اِدَّارَأَ (iddāraʔa, “to dispute”), the reduced variant of تَدَارَأَ (tadāraʔa). The first radical is always coronal, and the prefix assimilates completely to it. These are normally found only in the Koran.
