- Since there were hundreds of Cainamero and other southern Pomo residents at Mission San Rafael, Pixpixuecas/Toribio most likely persuaded the Santa Rose Cainamero that he could help them smooth things over with Vásquez del Mercado in order to prevent reprisals against the Cainamero and southern Pomo mission Indians.
