[edit]There is a difference in regular й sound such as in пойма (pojma) and the й at the end of -ый (-yj) and -ий (-ij). The latter sounds more like the German ç. Check the audio at дальний (dalʹnij) for example.
PS. Why was the soft ц paragraph removed? It was quite informative, imo. GareginRA (talk) 20:18, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
