1. suffix for reduplication with dismissive meaning, schm-

   ‎nghỉ (“to rest”) + ‎-iếc → ‎nghỉ nghiếc

   • 2001, Chu Lai, chapter 5, in Cuộc đời dài lắm, NXB Văn học:

     […] chứ có muốn là người hùng người hiếc gì đâu.

     […] it isn't that I want to be some hero schmero or something.

Usage notes

Spelled -yếc after a glide and yếc when reduplicating a vowel-initial word.
