1. First-person singular possessive suffix denoting singular possession in words ending in a consonant.

   ‎кыз (kız, “cherry”) + ‎-ым (-ım) → ‎кызым (kızım, “my cherry”)

Usage notes

• If the noun ends in a vowel, it becomes "-м" (for the possession suffix)

  ‎коло (kolo) + ‎-ым (-ım) → ‎колом (kolom)

• It's used only when the word ends in a vowel. It may change into "-им", "-ум", and "-үм" according to the last vowel of the word. (possession suffix)

  ‎кийим (kiyim) + ‎-ым (-ım) → ‎кийимим (kiyimim) (the last vowel is "e" or "i")

  ‎кол (kol) + ‎-ым (-ım) → ‎колум (kolum) (the last vowel is "o" or "u")

  ‎үй (üy) + ‎-ым (-ım) → ‎үйүм (üyüm) (the last vowel is "ö" or "ü")
