Etymology
[edit]From Sanskrit เคถเฅเคชเฅเคฏเคพ (ลepyฤฬ), a feminine form of เคถเฅเคช (ลรฉpa), from Proto-Indo-Iranian *ลกรกypas, possibly from Proto-Indo-European *แธฑeyp-o- (โpole, stickโ).[1][2] Cognate with Pali cheppฤ.
