[edit]Inherited from Sanskrit 𑀆𑀦𑀬𑀢𑀺 (ānayati). By surface analysis, 𑀆- (ā-) + 𑀡𑁂𑀤𑀺 (ṇedi). Cognate with Maharastri Prakrit 𑀆𑀡𑁂𑀇 (āṇei), Pali āneti.
