[edit]Inherited from Sanskrit 𑀆𑀦𑀬𑀢𑀺 (ānayati). By surface analysis, 𑀆- (ā-) + 𑀡𑁂𑀇 (ṇei). Cognate with Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀆𑀡𑁂𑀤𑀺 (āṇedi), Pali āneti.
