[edit]Inherited from Proto-Turkic *sagïzgan (“magpie”).[1] Cognate with Turkish saksağan, Uzbek zag‘izg‘on, Bashkir һайыҫҡан (hayıśqan), Tuvan сааскан (saaskan).
