[edit]Inherited from Common Turkic *kaŋlï (“cart”),[1] ultimately from Tocharian A klānk- (“to ride”). Cognate with Turkish kağnı, Karakhanid قَنكْلٖى (qaŋlï), Kipchak قكلى (qanlï) and Khakas хаңаа (xañaa).
