Inherited from Proto-Turkic *-le. Cognate with Chuvash -ла (-la), Turkish -la, Kazakh -лау (-lau), Yakut -лаа (-laa). Compare also Mongolian -лах (-lax), Manchu ᠊ᠯᠠᠮᠪᡳ (-lambi).
