Etymology 1

[edit]

Never attested syllabically, though likely pronounced as Ancient Greek ฮบฯฯŒฮบฮฟฯ‚ (krรณkos), whence perhaps ๐€’๐€ซ๐€[ (ko-ro-ka[), also in Knossos, which would refer to a group of women assigned to gathering saffron, and less likely ๐€’๐€ซ๐€‘๐€Š (ko-ro-ki-ja), more generally seen as an ethnic designation for certain women in Pylos.
