Etymology

[edit]

Apparently from Japanese ぴかぴか (pikapika, shiningly), but the meaning seems to have been supplanted by the similar-sounding Korean 비슷비슷 (biseutbiseut, “around the same”), 비금비금 (bigeumbigeum, “id.”).
