Usage notes
[edit]- Apparently coined by the National Institute of Korean Language and used primarily by Korean government websites.
- Outside of the government, this word is almost exclusively used by South Korean broadcasters, especially in news programs where the government has mandated the use of "purified" native Korean words when possible, as an alternative to the commonly used 홈페이지 (hompeiji, “homepage”), an English loanword.
