[edit]Compound of 閉じ (toji, “closing, shutting”, the 連用形 (ren'yōkei, “continuative or stem form”) of verb 閉じる tojiru, “to close, to shut”) + 込める (komeru, “to put (into), to force (into)”).[1][2]
