Etymology
[edit]From 暗黒舞踏 (ankoku butō, “dark dance”) = 暗黒 (ankoku, “dark, darkness”) + 舞踏 (butō, “dance”), from 暗黒舞踊 (ankoku buyō, “darkness dance”), by replacing 舞踊 (buyō, “(classical Japanese) dance”) with the archaic 舞踏 (butō, “dance”).[1]
