     この校(こう)舎(しゃ)は明(めい)治(じ)三(さん)十(じゅう)年(ねん)（一(１)八(８)九(９)七(７)）幼(よう)稚(ち)舎(しゃ)が山(やま)の下(した)に降(お)りてからのちは、いわゆる「白(はく)堊(あ)館(かん)」と称(しょう)し、学(がく)生(せい)部(ぶ)会(かい)のルームとして昭(しょう)和(わ)十(じゅう)五(ご)十(じゅう)六(ろく)年(ねん)ごろまで長(なが)く使(し)用(よう)された。

     Kono kōsha wa Meiji sanjū-nen (１８９７) yōchi sha ga yama no shita ni orite kara nochi wa, iwayuru “hakuakan” to shōshi, gakusei bukai no rūmu to shite Shōwa jūgo jūroku-nen goro made nagaku shiyō sareta.

     In Meiji year 30 (1897), after the kindergarten was moved to the bottom the hill, this building was designated “white hall” and was used as the student organization room for a long time, until around Showa 15 or 16 [1941].

     ここはワシントンの白(はく)堊(あ)館(かん)の地(ち)下(か)十(じゅう)二(に)階(かい)であった。その一室(いっしつ)の中(なか)で大(だい)統(とう)領(りょう)ルーズベルトのひびのはいった竹(たけ)法(ぼ)螺(ら)のような聲(こえ)がする。

     Koko wa Washinton no Hakuakan no chika jūnikai deatta. sono isshitsu no naka de daitōryō Rūzuberuto no hibi no wa itta takebora no yō na koe ga suru.

     This was the twelfth basement floor of the White House in Washington. Inside the room, President Roosevelt's voice sounded like a cracked bamboo horagai.
