Etymology
[edit]条約 (jōyaku) refers to the Washington Naval Treaty where Japan's capital ships are to be limited below the United States and United Kingdom.
Proper noun
[edit]- (historical) the Treaty Faction, which supported the Washington Naval Treaty. Faction supporters are gradually purged by the opposing Fleet Faction in the 1930s.
