- 1916, Mori Ōgai, Shibue Chūsai[1]:
- 教則は文部省が輒く認可せぬので、往復数十回を累ね、とうとう保の在職中には制定せられずにしまった。
- Kyōsoku wa monbushō ga tayasuku ninka senu no de, ōfuku sū-jukkai o kasane, tōtō Tamotsu no zaishoku-chū ni wa seitei serarezu ni shimatta.
- Because the Education Ministry did not approve the school regulation easily, it took several round trips to get it approved. But after all, it could not be enacted during Tamotsu's tenure of office.
- 教則は文部省が輒く認可せぬので、往復数十回を累ね、とうとう保の在職中には制定せられずにしまった。
