1. an ideophone that represents human emotion; a psychomime

     いわゆる、イライラスル・ウキウキスル・ハラハラスル、などであるが、日常的(にちじょうてき)にはこの擬情語(ぎじょうご)を使(つか)った感情(かんじょう)表現(ひょうげん)が多(おお)く見(み)られる。そしてこの擬情語(ぎじょうご)は、感情(かんじょう)形容詞(けいようし)と同(おな)じように主語(しゅご)の人称(にんしょう)に制限(せいげん)があることが知(し)られている。

     Iwayuru, iraira suru ukiuki suru harahara suru, nado de aru ga, nichijōteki ni wa kono gijōgo o tsukatta kanjō hyōgen ga ōku mirareru. Soshite kono gijōgo wa, kanjō keiyōshi to onaji yō ni shugo no ninshō ni seigen ga aru koto ga shirarete iru.

     Examples include iraira suru [be angry], ukiuki suru [be cheerful], harahara suru [be anxious] and so on. In everyday speech, use of such ideophones is ubiquitous. Furthermore, it is known that gijōgo ideophones, like emotion-related adjectives, have a restriction on the person of the subject.
