- 2020 June 4, “在日米海兵隊、警戒レベルを引き下げ 基地外の小売店利用可能に”, in Ryūkyū Shimpō[1]:
- 対象者は社会的距離を保ち、マスクを着用した上で基地外の小売店の利用が可能となるほか、基地外飲食店の屋外席で飲食できるようになる。
- Taishōsha wa shakai-teki kyori o tamochi, masuku o chakuyō shita ue de kichigai no kōriten no riyō ga kanō to naru hoka, kichigai inshokuten no okugai-seki de inshoku dekiru yō ni naru.

Usage notes
[edit]Since the term 基地外 (kichigai) is same reading with 気違い which means insanity or lunatic in English, some claim that it is preferred to use 基地の外 (kichi no soto) instead of it.
