Etymology
[edit]Compound of 口 (kuchi, “mouth”) + 溶け (toke, 連用形 (ren'yōkei, “stem or continuative form”) of the verb 溶ける (tokeru, “melt”).). The toke changes to doke as an instance of rendaku (連濁).
