- A brownish-black pill used in traditional Chinese medicine "to remove heat and counteract toxicity, to dispel wind and promote blood circulation, to release inhibited lung-qi and stuffy nose in the treatment of coryza, rhinocnesmus, hot gas to be expired, thick-yellow nasal discharge and hyposmia due to wind-heat attacking the lungs and entering the interior leading to fire and stagnation of qi and blood stasis, acute and chronic rhinitis, or nasosinusitis.
