Etymology
[edit]Compound of 刷り (suri, “printing”, the 連用形 (ren'yōkei, “continuative or stem form”) of 刷る (suru, “to print (such as a book or pamphlet)”)) + 込む (komu, as an auxiliary verb in compounds, “in, into”).[1][2][3]
First cited to 1911.[1]
