Etymology

Possibly named after 保皇 / 保皇 (bǎohuánghuì, Chinese Empire Reform Association), short for 保救大清皇帝 / 保救大清皇帝 (bǎojiù Dàqīng huángdì huì, literally Society to Protect the Emperor of the Great Qing), which was the political organization set up by Kang Youwei and Liang Qichao in Guangxu era to promote reforms in order to save the Qing imperial regime.
