Chinese
[edit]Glyph origin
[edit]Simpified Chinese. A stroke was added in order to distinguish from 从. It can be analyzed as an Ideogrammic compound (會意/会意) : 一 (“(土) ground, floor”) + 从 (“two people standing together”) – to make cluster.
Definitions
[edit]For pronunciation and definitions of 丛 – see 叢 (“to collect; to gather; to assemble; to crowd together; bush; shrub; thicket; grove; etc.”). (This character is the simplified form of 叢). |
