1. Volitional/conjectural form of です (desu), used to present a supposition.

   明日(あした)はいい天(てん)気(き)でしょう。

   Ashita wa ii tenki deshō.

   It will be good weather tomorrow.

   現(げん)在(ざい)いろいろな異(い)論(ろん)もあるでしょう。

   Genzai iroiro na iron mo aru deshō.

   There will probably be various kind of different opinion now.

   発(はつ)売(ばい)される可(か)能(のう)性(せい)は、低(ひく)いでしょうね。

   Hatsubai sareru kanōsei wa, hikui deshō ne.

   It is unlikely that it will ever be released.

2. Volitional/conjectural form of です (desu), indicates question.

   このパソコンはあなたのでしょう。

   Kono pasokon wa anata no deshō.

   Is this PC yours?

   昨日(きのう)送(おく)った写(しゃ)真(しん)は見(み)たでしょう。

   Kinō okutta shashin wa mita deshō.

   Did you see the photo I sent you yesterday?

Usage notes

This can be considered as the polite form of だろう (darō).
