Usage notes
[edit]- This is used by the higher senpai to a lower kouhai to appreciate the efforts they have exerted for a certain task or project. お疲れ様 (otsukaresama) must be used in turn by the kouhai instead of this phrase, otherwise it will sound very condescending.
