A monogram of the capital letters P and L, the first two letters of "Pluto" as well as the initials of Percival Lowell.[1]

(astronomy): has only rarely seen formal use since the reclassification of Pluto as a dwarf planet in 2006. has seen rare use for Pluto as a dwarf planet.

(astrology): Both and are common. is universal, due to its early standardization in astronomy, but while astrological use of is global, it is not the preferred symbol in many European countries. (See for astrological synonyms.)
