ἀκτηρίς
Appearance
Ancient Greek
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Unknown. The explanation as a univerbation of ἀκταίνω (aktaínō, “to keep erect”) and ἐρείδω (ereídō, “to prop, support”) seems most improbable.
