From Proto-Semitic *ṣ́arrat- (co-wife). Equivalent to 𒈲𒊒𒌝 (ṣerrum, enmity) +‎ -𒂊𒌈 (-etum, feminine suffix). Cognate with Arabic ضَرَّة (ḍarra) and Biblical Hebrew צָרָה (ṣɔrɔ).
