[edit]From ḥqꜣ (“ruler”) + jmt-pr (“estate, bequest, will”) in a direct genitive construction, thus ‘ruler of the bequest’, in reference to the kingship mythologically bequeathed from Geb to Osiris and thereby to Horus. The term jmt-pr appears in its typical Greco-Roman Period form jmj-pr.
