From ჯე- (ce-) +‎ -ა (-a) +‎ ნთხ- (ntx-) +‎ -ენ (-en). Inherited from Proto-Kartvelian *ratx- : rtx- (“to stretch out; break, disconnect”).

1. to attack, to assault

   ნგოლა შურონეფე სერი ნდღალერი მჯვერი ჯანთხენ.

   ngola şuronepe seri ndğaleri mcveri cantxen.

   On the ngola, wolves attack goats day and night.

2. to be hit on

   კული გოლიღამტაშა ქური ჯანთხენ.

   ǩuli goliğamťaşa kuri cantxen.

   When you take the chair away, the heel of the foot (of the chair) is struck.
