Borrowed from Mingrelian წუღა (c̣uɣa). Doublet of წაღა (c̣aɣa) which is inherited from Proto-Kartvelian *c̣aɣ-a- whence Svan წაღარა̈ლ (c̣aɣaräl), Mingrelian წუღა (c̣uɣa), Laz წუღა (ǯuğa).
