Etymology
[edit]From Proto-Kartvelian *ʒ₁arɣw-. Although, if Svan ჯა̈რღუ̂ (ǯärɣû) is indeed borrowed from Mingrelian, then the word can only be reconstructed for the Proto-Georgian-Zan stage.
