Etymology 2

[edit]

Likely from etymology 1. Compare Armenian տո (to), which has senses and usages corresponding to both. The final positioning of ტო (ṭo) may suggest influence from Russian -то (-to, emphatic postpositive particle), or that can simply be a coincidence.

Particle

რას აკეთებ ტო, ხომ არ გაგიჟდი?

What are you doing, are you out of your mind?
