Particularly: “Doesn't seem to be in STEDT, and Luce 1981 did not adduce either Chinese or Tibetan cognates.[1] Looks a bit like Chinese 和尚 (héshàng, “head monk”) or 僧 (sēng, “monk, bonze”), both from Sanskrit or a related language. Alternatively, see အရှင် (a.hrang).”
