Particularly: “Not given etymology by STEDT (sûiŋ "pass rope or garment around something ( cf. chûiŋ )", "rod carried before food prepared for king"). Probably a Mon loanword, given the word's -uing final. Also unclear if all the senses are connected (though all are probably from Mon).”
