Particularly: “Not given etymology by STEDT (ə-prac "evil result; guilt"). Luce gives Old Chinese (OC *rɯːds, *rɯːd, “to transgress; perverse, recalcitrant”) as a cognate.[1] Note also similarities to (OC *bad, “to punish”) (though both comparanda seem to not match exactly in phonetic details with the Burmese).”
