Particularly: “Doesn't seem to be mentioned by STEDT, while Luce 1981 adduces Tibetan ལྡོམ་བུ (ldom bu, “alms”) as a cognate.^[1] Also bears vague resemblance to Old Chinese 餞 (OC *zlenʔ, *zlens, “to give a farewell party; to preserve fruits in honey or syrup”).”
