Cognate with Lao ເດືອດ (dư̄at), Isan เดือด, Northern Thai ᨯᩮᩬᩥᨯ, Khün ᨯᩮᩨ᩠ᨯ, ᦵᦡᦲᧆᧈ (ḋoed¹), Shan လိူတ်ႇ (lòet), Zhuang ndued (fever) (dialectal).
